The Guide to NewBCamp 09 at PC is published! Check it out at
Google Docs [docs.google.com]!
Agreed that guidelines are useful. We will definitely have a schedule to follow, it's just who will be presenting and what they will present on that may be spontaneous.
Some guidelines should be placed. Imagine if you signed up for a class and it had no subject. They'd just make it up when they got there. What would be the chances of people showing up?
the reason for the tracks in the first place was because the PodCamp I went to way back when had them, so I modeled it after that. It's easier too to tell people what the content is about if you can categorize the presentations.
There is a link to the Free Geek site - click the "Attend" button and it takes you right there!
tracks are too rigid for an UNconference;
i'm just going to shoot from the hip and see where the pieces fall
Should there be a link to the freegeekpvd site for ticket purchases?
its 3am. sorry, that was too harsh.
Wondering whether we should ditch tracks for this NewBCamp. Always wondered what NewBCamp would be like in a true "unconference" format, without scheduled events even - figure it out as we go.
